"Suffer the little children to come unto Me..."
The Lord has been pleased to add to His church another young man by the name of Jed Boyer. Jed is 15 years old, has attended Bible Baptist all of his life and is the son of our secretary.Jed made his confession on May 25 and was baptized the following Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Yet another young man has been under conviction of the Lord; Christian Henry, the grandson of our Assistant Pastor, also gave his testimony on June 1 and was baptized that evening.Tuesday, March 18, 2008
"AND THE LORD ADDED TO HIS CHURCH DAILY..."
Back in June, 2007, on the 3rd, Nathan Silverberg was presented to the church for membership by Assistant Pastor Tom Henry. Nathan grew up in the church attending with his parents, Jeff and Mary, who have been members since 1997. Nathan gave his testimony about thinking of Judgment Day and knew he was not prepared. He began praying for preparation for the coming of the Lord Jesus and for forgiveness for his sins. He read from Romans 6 and stated that he believes he has found it in the blood of Jesus Christ alone. Nathan was then baptized the following Sunday.
Following Nathan, several months later in October, a woman named Gina Fusco came to know the Lord under the sound preaching of Pastor Holmes Moore and Assistant Pastor Tom Henry. Gina had been attending for several weeks and stated that she grew up "in church" and thought she was "saved" but had just "gotten away" from attending and was feeling guilty about not going anywhere. After hearing the true Gospel of Jesus Christ, she realized she did, in fact, not know the Lord and was under strong conviction of sin, and finally, that she could do nothing to save herself; it was through the merits of Christ alone. Upon coming to this realization, she cried out to God for forgiveness and has come to understand the true meaning of grace and forgiveness of sin. She was then baptized on October 28th. and has gone on to become a faithful member of the church.

Finally, we have Tanner Juch. Tanner, also, grew up in the church, and in fact, is the grandson of our Assistant Pastor and had been counselling with him for quite some time. As a young teenage boy with his heart heavy from sin, he knew the only way to find relief was to turn to Christ but didn't know what to do, so he talked with his mother, Gina; who encouraged him and told him to read his Bible, pray, and talk with his grandfather. After many conversations, Tanner cried out to the Lord and believes he was heard and has received forgiveness for sin and life through the Lord Jesus Christ. He was baptized on November 18, 2007.

ANOTHER PLUCKED FROM THE BURNING...

Tuesday, August 7, 2007
Praise the Lord for Salvation in Jesus Christ! The Lord added to His flock Sunday evening in the confession of a young man named David Coverdell. David is 18 years old and has attended Bible Baptist Church with his mother all of his life, however, his teenage years have been those of sin and rebellion, moving away from home and seeking his own will...to the point of having to spend several nights in the county jail. But God is still in control of the hearts of men and through the burdened prayers of many, He used these last weeks dealing with David, showing him his sin and his need of a Saviour. In turmoil and despair David cried out to the Lord, and He heard his prayer. After consulting with David, Pastor Moore said of him, "I've never seen a more contrite spirit and broken heart in a person. He (David) felt he didn't even deserve to ask for forgiveness." (Those who belong to the Lord completely understand this.) During David's profession of faith in Jesus Christ, Pastor Moore told us he asked of him, "What if the Lord has for you to be a preacher or missionary in some remote country?" David's response after a moment's contemplation was, "Well, if that's what the Lord has for me, then so be it...wherever and whatever, if it's for the Lord." The Church gladly received his testimony, and David was then baptized.
